Milwaukee Bucks Co-Owner is an HBCU Grad
HBCU Grad Valerie Daniels-Carter, is the owner of the largest female-owned franchise organization in the US and she’s a minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks who are currently playing in the NBA Finals.
Daniels-Carter graduated from Lincoln University of Missouri with a bachelors degree in business administration where she played basketball. After graduating, she worked for a few years before she raised $1 million to start her first Burger King restaurant. Currently, she owns multiple restaurants including Burger Kings, Pizza Huts, Auntie Anne’s, Coffee Beanery, Captain D’s Seafood and more.
Daniels-Carter is also a board member of the Green Bay Packers and in 2017 was appointed as the first African-American chair of AAA.
In 2019, Daniels-Carter was inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame. Essence magazine recognized her as one of the most inspiring African-Americans.
